Bridget: Boobless

Ugh. I'm not happy with my execution on this concept, but I have to get -something- out, so here it is.

It sort of mystifies me why people take a character like Bridget and try to convert him into a female. I mean, are you -so- fragile in your sexuality that you have to transgender someone you find appealing to avoid the -horror- that you might not be entirely straight?

Anyway, it occurred to me today that such transformations are doubly silly when you consider that -Bridget- just wants to be a -boy-. So by turning him female, you're not only ignoring the character's actual physical reality, but you're casting aside his personality, his motivations, his origins, and basically everything that makes Bridget Bridget. It's really a pretty shallow and selfish perspective to take towards the character, when you think about it.

So, the moral of the story is, don't draw Bridget with boobs! He doesn't want them! And stop cutting off his penis! How would -you- like that, huh?
